As a senior, I’m struggling to determine my next move. It’s a very critical time and every move should be deliberate. I thought “There’s a Design Talent Shortage — Here’s How To Capitalize On It,” was helpful. I think it’s extremely important to build yourself up to the big leagues (if that’s what you what to do) and start with smaller companies. It’s kind of like how everyone should be required to have one of their first jobs be in retail or waitressing because you learn respect for the little things in life, you learn to be kind, and it gives a new perspective. Not saying that you shouldn’t aim big, but it’s okay to start small and to struggle. It builds better character and adds experiences that can be applied to design.
